IAN BARON
B.Sc (Hons), FGS, M.IoD, AIPN, and AAPG
Director

Mr Baron has over 35 years experience in the petroleum industry and has lived and worked in North Africa and the Middle East for most of his career. In his early career as a petroleum geologist he worked for several oil companies before taking a more commercial role leading Conoco’s Middle East new ventures group as Vice President of Conoco Middle East. In 1999, he joined Dragon Oil plc as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and initiated a business plan that resulted in the company achieving a market capitalisation of $1.5 billion. In 2003 he established a consulting firm in Dubai providing services to clients on projects in over 40 countries. Concurrently, he served as non-executive director to several UK, Canadian and US listed companies. In 2009 he was appointed CEO of Cadogan Petroleum plc and successfully turned the business around, resolving disputes, cutting costs, increasing production and securing a major strategic investor.

BROD SUTCLIFFE

Director

Brod founded GeoGlide Well Positioning Services in June 2014. He leads the strategic and business development of GeoGlide under a shared vision and mission. Brod brings with him 34 years of experience in drilling and formation evaluation services. Before joining GeoGlide, Brod was the president and founder of the drilling services division of Cougar Drilling Solutions based in Dubai and Jakarta. Prior to 2010, he was Director of Global Business Development and Asia Pacific Region Manager for Weatherford Drilling Services. Prior to this Brod spent 17 years with Baker Hughes where he held various positions in directional drilling and measurement/logging while drilling sales and operations management in Asia Pacific, Europe, FSU and the Middle East. Brod started his career with Schlumberger in 1981.

JEREMY DYER

Director

Jeremy Dyer is an upstream oil industry professional of over 35 years’ experience, of which the last 27 have been in South East Asia. After three years as Exploration Manager for Sun Malaysia Petroleum, he moved to Jakarta as a development consultant to Maxus-YPF. In 1995 he founded OPAC group, an energy services company based in Indonesia, active in joint ventures with overseas partners providing software supply and maintenance, training, recruitment and placement, surface geochemistry, alternative energy, seismic and subsurface studies.

JEFF WILL
Director

Jeff has extensive experience in Directional Drilling with Baker Hughes and Surtron Technologies in the UK, USA, Africa and Australia. He was the Operations Support Coordinator for Surtron from 2011 to 2014 and a has a full knowledge of all our field and office based operations support software including Well Architect and Landmark Compass well planning software, remote operations support systems and CSG/CBM in-seam geo-steering. He has experience drilling highly complex deviated directional wells throughout the world as well as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) specializing in river crossing, bore drilling for wind and tidal energy with surface exits. He is a motivated, focused and trusted member of the management team, driven by service quality and results.
